What game engine is Mars Rally Championship built in?
MRC is built in Unreal Engine 5 to bring the most realistic experience of racing on Mars.
What blockchain is the web3 part of MRC built on?
The earliest version for playtesting Mars Rally Championship uses NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain to authenticate players and distribute rewards. We use the ERC-6551 standard for Rover NFTs to be able to mint and hold rewards NFTs. Those are essentially smart wallets - NFT that are able to transact and hold tokens.
Can I play Mars Rally Championship already?
To gain feedback and improve the gameplay experience, we are going to have an extensive play testing period. Test players can mint OG Rovers. Game rewards for the testing period will be distributed when the testing period is over and MRC in-game token is released.
What computer do i need to play MRC?
Mars Rally Championship will be initially playable on Windows.
Are you guys professional AAA game devs / game studio?
Nope, we are amateurs in game development, but we love gaming and coding. Everyone involved in the project is currently working full time jobs. We do have several years of experience in programming though. When MRC gains traction we will hire people way smarter than us and increase the team size.
Will MRC make me rich?
Don't bet the house, dude. This is a game being made by gamedev amateurs. If you like the concept, we invite you to take part in our play-test and see if we land on Mars or in the ocean.
