The best 3D drifting games put a real 3D world and a choice of cameras around the slide. Mars Rally Championship, a free browser rally game, is listed first because it is ours: 3D rally stages on Martian terrain, 15 driving cameras and replay video export, but no drift score and one rover. On merit, Drift Hunters MAX is the deepest free 3D drifting game in a browser, Sky Car Drift runs in a phone browser, and on PC Forza Horizon 6 is the best-looking, while CarX Drift Racing Online runs on modest hardware.

What makes a drifting game truly 3D
A truly 3D drifting game has three things. You steer freely through a 3D world rather than along a fixed path. The physics moves the car in three dimensions, so crests, bumps and camber change a slide. And you can change the camera, because where you look from changes how a slide feels.
In-game screenshot: one instant of the same slide from four of the 15 driving cameras: BUMPER, HELMET, TELE and HELI, left to right, top to bottom.
The opposite is a game that is rendered in 3D but played on a narrow line. Drift Boss on Poki is the usual example: its page says to tap to drift and lift your finger to stop, and that drifting too early or too late sends the car off the narrow platform. You only choose when to turn, so it is not ranked here.
What we compared: whether the world is truly 3D (free steering through a 3D world, more than one camera), the engine, camera views, replays and photo mode, where it runs and how much it downloads, taken from each game's developer page, portal listing (CrazyGames, drifted.com, madalingames.com) or store page. Mars Rally Championship's details come from its own code. A dash means not confirmed. Last checked: October 2026.

The best 3D drifting games online
1. Mars Rally Championship: 3D rally drifting on Martian terrain
Our game, listed first for that reason. This is Mars Rally Championship's own site; everything below it is ranked on its merits, browser games first.
Mars Rally Championship is a free 3D rally game that runs in the browser with no download, no install and no account, built on Three.js. The world is a terrain map 8.16 km on a side at one-metre detail, and the rover drives on every texel of the stretch a stage uses, on every graphics preset. The terrain is sculpted to Martian morphologies, not built from real elevation data. There are four skies, and the night one draws stars, the Milky Way and both Martian moons, Phobos and Deimos.
A run starts in the HELMET camera, the pilot's eyes with the yoke and gloves in view, and 15 cameras are one C press apart. Dust settles where the wheels throw it, and every stage opens with the tire tracks of the board's three fastest runs already pressed into the regolith as ruts.
The handbrake locks the rear wheels, and once a tire slides sideways the loose regolith bites back, so a slide holds instead of snapping away.
Its limits are real. There is one rover, with no tuning garage, three stages and no asphalt. There is no drift score and there are no drift competitions: the boards rank finish time, and drifting is just a fast way through a corner. Online rooms have no car-to-car collisions.
Play free — no download2. Drift Hunters MAX: the deepest free 3D drifting in a browser
Drift Hunters MAX is a free browser game that drifted.com says launched in April 2022, made with the creator of the original Drift Hunters. It runs on Unity and has 39 cars, 13 tracks and a Drift Attack mode. A late-2024 update added mobile support, an endless street mode with AI traffic and cross-platform saves.
It is the deepest of the free browser picks. Camera views and replays are not confirmed, and leaderboards and saves sat behind a free sign-up under its 2024-era terms, so check the current page. For the wider Drift Hunters field, read games like Drift Hunters.
3. Sky Car Drift: 3D drifting in a phone browser
Sky Car Drift, from Plum Games, is on CrazyGames, released in May 2023 and updated in April 2026. It runs on Unity 6 in desktop, mobile and tablet browsers. You drift along a track above the clouds without falling off, and trophies unlock more than 200 cars, drivers, emotes and 10 skies.
It is the best 3D pick for a phone browser. The trade-off is that it is a stylised sky track rather than an open world, and its drifted.com review notes there is no tuning. Camera options are not confirmed.
4. Drift Runner 3D: free-roam city drifting
Drift Runner 3D, from OkDay Games, dates from May 2017 and runs on Unity 5.6. It drops you into a free-roam city with nearby hills and no races or missions, and C changes the camera view. CrazyGames lists it as desktop-only in the browser, though its text also mentions an Android app.
The visuals date from 2017, the base game has no goals, and it is not a phone-browser pick.
5. Madalin Stunt Cars 3: 3D drifting with friends
Madalin Stunt Cars 3 has single-player and multiplayer, over 60 cars and three maps, and its play page shows an update on 16 November 2025. The Dockyard map is the drift-focused one, with containers and machinery, and lobbies let you play with friends or in public rooms. A desktop download of about 380 MB exists for Windows, Mac and Linux, but the browser version needs none.
It is a stunt sandbox first. A drift score, phone and controller support, its engine and camera options are all not confirmed.
The best 3D drifting games on PC (download)
These are downloads, included because many people searching for 3D drift are on a PC and want the best-looking option.
6. Forza Horizon 6: the best-looking drifting on PC
Forza Horizon 6, from Playground Games and Xbox, came out on 19 May 2026 on PC (Steam, the Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass) and Xbox Series X|S, with a PS5 version due on 26 January 2027. It is set in Japan. Windows Central titled its review "The best-looking racer on Xbox and PC".
Drifting is one activity in it, not the whole game: touge battles on mountain passes, Drift Zones and a Drift Attack mode with Clipping Zones. The cost is size and price. It is a paid game that needs about 167 GB on an SSD, 16 GB of RAM and a GTX 1650-class card or better.
7. CarX Drift Racing Online: 3D drifting on modest hardware
CarX Drift Racing Online, from CarX Technologies, has been on Steam since 17 November 2017. Players create or join rooms of up to 16 with cross-platform play, and the XDS tandem mode pairs drivers; update 2.28.0 added a way to turn collisions off between players for tandem and train runs.
Fanatec lists the minimum as Windows 8 or 10, an i5-4590 or Ryzen 3 1200, 4 GB of RAM, a GeForce 950 or R9 270 class card and 6 GB of storage. It is paid and shows its age. Its sequel, CarX Drift Racing Online 2, has been in Steam Early Access since 7 May 2026, and the best drift racing games covers it.
How much your device needs for 3D drifting
The gap between a browser game and a download is mostly bytes. Mars Rally Championship streams about 9 MB of terrain for a stage, the 36 tiles its window covers. Madalin Stunt Cars 3's optional desktop download is about 380 MB. CarX Drift Racing Online asks for about 6 GB, and Forza Horizon 6 about 167 GB on an SSD.
Diagram: about 9 MB of terrain streams in a browser before the first slide, against downloads of about 380 MB, 6 GB and 167 GB.
A browser game still needs a GPU that copes. Mars Rally Championship requires WebGL 2, ships on the HIGH graphics preset and steps down from the pause button, HIGH to MEDIUM to LOW. LOW renders at 0.75 scale with no bloom and 1024 shadows, over the same one-metre ground. For weak hardware, read racing games for a low-end PC, and check your own browser with the racing game compatibility tool. The no-download racing roundup covers the wider browser field.
Cameras, replays and photo mode: getting the best-looking slide
Mars Rally Championship has 15 driving cameras: C cycles forward from HELMET to CHASE and on through views such as DASH, LOW, APEX, HELI, TELE and BUMPER, and Shift+C goes back. Settings picks which of HELMET, CHASE, DASH or FAR a run starts in.
Diagram: C steps through the 15 driving cameras in this order; a run can start in four, and replays swap FREE for three more, 17 in all.
Replays are where the cameras multiply. Replay mode has 17 cameras, ORBIT, TRACKSIDE and DRONE plus every driving view except FREE, with TRACKSIDE the default, and a photo mode on P. Replays are rebuilt from recorded inputs, so any leaderboard run can be watched with REPLAY on its row.
The video export renders the replay frame by frame rather than screen-recording it. You choose 16:9 (1920×1080) or 9:16 vertical (1080×1920), the full run or its last 30 seconds, and 30 or 60 fps.
Elsewhere, Forza Horizon 6 has a photo mode that GameSpot's reviewer spent time in, and players report it renders reflections at higher quality than gameplay does. Drift Runner 3D switches camera on C. For the other browser picks, camera views and replays are not confirmed.
